Vice President and General Manager Bill Stine’s father, G.Harry Stine, was one of the early pioneers of model rocketry rightalongside our founder Vern Estes. Antar, is the latest addition to thisseries and was a fictional spaceship designed by Mr. Stine in 1951. Atthat time, Stine was a Range Safety Officer at White Sands ProvingGround by day and in the evenings, he gave lectures to young peopleinterested in the US Space Program. He was also a talented writer whoauthored both Science Fact and Science Fiction stories. Since no realspaceships existed yet, he created many different ones for use in hisstories and as props for the lectures he gave. The Estes model is anauthentic replica based of the original design created by Stine.
