10500541 N  50' Steel Side/15-Panel Great Northern

This 50' steel side, 15 panel, fixed end gondola with fishbelly sides is red with white lettering and runs on Bettendorf trucks. Built in 1957, this car was designed to transport structural steel and other large loads and had a 70-ton capacity. Great Northern was a Class 1 Railroad founded in 1881 and eventually was merged with Northern Pacific and others to form Burlington Northern Railroad in 1970.
